Buttercup days

Flowers somehow still look beautiful when petals are falling and becoming their skeletal form. I find them far more interesting this way. These are the survivors from a bunch picked by my little boy. I must draw them one day.

Art books: Henry Moore

I haven't done an art books post for a while and here was me saying once a week, oh well, better late than never! Henry Moore is of course an iconic British sculptor. Seeing the exhibition of his work at Tate Britain in oh... 2010 I think, was a testament to how varied his work is, in subject matter and a little in style, although the curved forms and beautiful organic shapes are prevalent in most pieces, but not all. This book I could not leave behind after seeing the exhibition.

And so it begins

The first stages of my new little studio have begun. It's very exciting to know I will have somewhere to work again after a break from making.
